The opportunity: Due to the launch of the Accountants Division's first online product we require the services of an experienced operations professional to join our team in a hands-on production capacity. In addition, you will provide support for clients experiencing production issues. You will need to be on call as required to meet our Service Level Agreement.
The job: You will be responsible for operations of online products and providing production support to clients. Get our servers up and keep them up!
The skills and experience required: To be considered for this role you will need a strong work ethic, a sound understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud platform and a passion for ensuring uninterrupted service. You will have also worked in an agile environment and possess the following attributes:

• Proven operations experience on AWS or similar. It would be great if you know something about the following: EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53, EBS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation.
• Experience developing business software will be highly regarded.
• Experience with customer support or help desk will be highly regarded.
• Must be familiar with monitoring and logging tools. The tools we use are New Relic and Splunk, so experience with those tools or something similar will be highly regarded.
• Experience running ASP.NET applications on Windows will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with SQL Server will be highly regarded.

This role will ideally suit someone with empathy for clients who are in distress, an ability to remain calm in a crisis and an uncanny ability to detect issues before our clients do.
